It has been a full year. Besides all the road trips, media events, interviews and family transitions, there were a plate full of projects. Some of these are my own and others I was invited to participate in.
A couple days ago, UPS came by and dropped off a little package. Two of these projects (depicted above) were inside!
I ran around the house showing anyone I could find the two books—a paperback mass movie market edition of The Shack, and a study guide for The Shack that I wrote with a good friend and Psychiatrist/MD named Brad Robison.
*Purchase The Shack: the movie edition here.
**Purchase The Shack Workbook here.
This was the first time I had seen the finished products, and I am thrilled!
I didn’t know that the publisher was going to include pages of color photos from the movie set in The Shack: the movie edition. If you want a sneak peak at what is coming next March, here they are. I also wrote an extra chapter for this version, about an incredible story that unfolded while I was on the set.
As for The Shack Study Guide, it has been road-tested by Brad along with groups who worked they way through. Over the years, we have had so many requests for a more practical guide to The Shack narrative and finally the timing and the right people came together. I am grateful!
I’ll write a bit more in the coming weeks on each of these projects, but wanted you guys to see them today.
With Thanksgiving, in the US, we mark the start of a season of grateful hearts.
I am thankful for people who bring together incredible talent and energy to create things. The movie will not disappoint…take tissues. But also, publishers and people with marketing and promotional skills, or film-makers, authors and those who work in the mailroom (something I did for a few years).
We all participate, and I am thrilled that this has been a year of participation, the best and most rewarding within my own family and friendships and on the road with y’all.
Thank you!
