The Young Family Foundation is strategically partnered with the Portland Leadership Foundation to facilitate the Young Fellowship.
The Young Fellowship is designed to offer select college graduates a “gap-year” Fellowship. All Fellows will live together in community, serve four days a week with a non-profit in the Portland metro area, and receive year-long non-profit coaching, personal mentoring and spiritual direction. The program is designed to combine business acumen with a deepening faith; as a result, the Young Fellowship is focused on selecting and training the next generation of non-profit leadership for the city of Portland. Fellows will work directly with the Executive Director of the non-profit they are placed within. The partner non-profit is committed to offer an unprecedented hands-on working experience for each Fellow.
The living space, known as the Hillside House, is key to the Young Fellowship as it facilitates community living while also challenging the Fellows to provide hospitality to out-of-town guests—which is close to the heart of the YFF.
YFF seeks to welcome leaders and out-of-town guests to experience both the leadership development environment that the Hillside House represents as well as to create space for friends to engage in transformational discussions about Jesus.
